The Best Facials Near You in LaSalle and Ottawa

Lovely woman getting Geneo facial at LIV Wellness

So much of life is about putting your best face forward. If you’re struggling with skin concerns, you might be dealing with feelings of embarrassment and shying away from the things you really want in life. Waking up and seeing acne, dry skin, or wrinkles can make it hard to find motivation to pursue your goals.

Finding the right facial near you isn’t just about relaxing spa day (though, skin rejuvenation can be quite relaxing) but about providing your skin clinically proven repair and treatment to address your concerns.

At LIV Wellness Lounge we offer multiple types of facials at our LaSalle and Ottawa locations to treat acne, wrinkles, and other common skin conditions. We believe ongoing skin care should be a joy, no matter the season and no matter your skin type.

Choosing the best facial for you

When it comes to picking any aesthetic treatment, especially a facial, it all comes down to your specific skin concerns. These are our top 5 favorite facials near LaSalle and Ottawa, ranked roughly from more dramatic results to more subtle results.

All of these treatments provide stunning improvements to your skin, and most of them can be combined depending on your specific skin goals.

Microneedling

Great for scars, wrinkles, and skin laxity. Microneedling is our most involved facial process, but it also can provide amazing results with very little downtime when compared to a laser skin treatment.

Vampire Facial

That’s a spooky name for a not-so-spooky process! Our aestheticians can combine microneedling with serums or your body’s natural growth factors can further enhance your results.

Chemical Peels

If you’re looking for deep exfoliation as well as rejuvenating benefits, chemical peels are your best friend. The non-abrasive peel will clear your skin of debris and dead skin cells to leave you glowing!

Dermaplaning

As another option for non-invasive exfoliation, dermaplaning helps remove peach fuzz hairs, increase collagen production, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It helps renew your skin, promoting cell turnover and improving your skin’s texture!

HydraFacial

Using a unique 3-step system, a HydraFacial revitalizes your skin to reveal a brighter, more youthful appearance with zero downtime. You can sit back and relax while your skin gets a deep clean and then leave our office looking, and feeling, fresh.

Geneo Facial

A customizable Geneo treatment can brighten your complexion and smooth your skin immediately, with long-lasting results. This facial increases your skin’s oxygen levels, which allows the skin to better absorb nutrients and hydration.

For the Most Dramatic Results: Microneedling

If you’re struggling with skin texture issues, you’re probably well aware of how difficult they can be to treat at home. Outside of laser skin rejuvenation, microneedling is our most aggressive and transformative facial treatment. By inducing your body’s natural healing process, microneedling causes your skin to regenerate from the inside out.

How does microneedling work?

Microneedling uses tiny needles to create controlled injury to the skin. This kickstarts your body’s production of collagen and elastin, the two proteins that give your skin its shape and structure. Your skin produces less of these proteins as you age, which leads to sagging, wrinkles, and making our skin more prone to scarring.

Combining your microneedling treatment with serums using your body’s own growth factors to produce even more regenerative results by stimulating even deeper collagen and elastin production

What are microneedling results like?

The results from your microneedling treatment will continue to improve over time. A typical treatment series is 3 to 5 sessions spaced out over 4 to 6 weeks to allow your skin to heal between each treatment. The best part is there’s no downtime after a session and they only take about 30 minutes!

For mid-range results: Chemical Peels and Dermaplaning

Your skin is constantly producing new skin cells, but sometimes the process slows down based on your environment, like in winter. Removing the build-up of dead skin cells requires exfoliation.

Both chemical peels and dermaplaning will provide you with deep exfoliation, revealing younger-looking skin. The difference for these treatments is in their technique.

How do chemical peels work?

There are many types of chemical peels. At LIV Wellness Lounge we use AlphaRet products and SkinBetter Science to improve your complexion and texture

During a chemical peel you get to sit back and relax as your skin care specialist preps your skin and applies the peel. Your provider will use a brush, gauze or a sponge to apply the chemical solution and you might feel a slight tingling while it gets to work. We neutralize the peel with a solution or wash to remove it.

We can use different depths of peels depending on your unique skin goals. Deeper peels will have more dramatic results but will take longer to recover from. Your skin may feel sensitive and there might be some redness, but it will dissipate in just a few days!

How does dermaplaning work?

During a dermaplaning treatment, your provider will use a medical-grade scalpel to gently sweep away debris, dead skin cells, and vellus hairs (peach fuzz). After just one treatment, your skin will immediately feel smoother and look brighter.

Dermaplaning can be abrasive for those with sensitive skin. However, for those with more tolerant skin we can even combine dermaplaning with a chemical peel for an even deeper exfoliating treatment. We also offer dermaplaning in combination with our HydraFacials and Geneo facials, as well.

Facials with a lighter touch: HydraFacial and Geneo Oxygen Facial

While our HydraFacial and Geneo facials are the gentlest of our facial treatments, that doesn’t make them any less effective at renewing your skin. They focus on providing your skin with a deep cleanse

What is a HydraFacial?

A one of a kind, medical grade facial, the HydraFacial is customizable, utilizing different boosters to promote skin brightening and clarity. No matter the level of HydraFacial you choose (the Deluxe or the Platinum), there are 3 key steps using patented Vortex technology to rejuvenate your skin:

  1. Cleanse and exfoliate
  2. Extract and hydrate
  3. Fuse and protect

Every HydraFacial follows this process, which keeps your results consistent and restores your glow every time. They’re quick, the treatment itself lasts about 30-60 minutes, and requires zero downtime afterwards, so you can get right back to your day!

What is a Geneo facial?

Similar to a HydraFacial, a Geneo oxygen facial uses natural ingredients and specialized non-invasive, gentle technology to exfoliate your skin. The oxygenation process increases oxygen levels in your skin to help it absorb the nutrients during the rest of the treatment.

The Geneo facial uses 3 steps:

  1. Exfoliation
  2. Oxygenation
  3. Nourishment

You’ll experience immediate results in the form of skin that’s softer, smoother, and feels like it got a deep clean.

The process for getting a facial near you

The first step to getting the right facial for you is sitting down for a consultation with an expert skin care specialist. You’ll get the most benefit from a facial that’s tailored to your unique skin concerns.

At LIV Wellness Lounge we offer complimentary consultations because we understand the importance of getting to know you as an individual before performing your treatment. We don’t believe in cookie cutter aesthetic care and create individualized treatment plans for all of our patients that are tailor to their specific needs.

During your consultation we’ll ask you about your skin, medical history, and desired results. Working with you, our team can develop an individualized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

Frequently asked questions about facial treatments

What should I look for in a facial provider?

How often should I get a facial?

Certain facials are gentle enough to get once a month, like the HydraFacial and Geneo facials. Other facial treatments like microneedling follow a different schedule depending on your individual treatment plan.
